Sabir - Live Voice Translator
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 26 July 2026
Sabir is a voice translation app. This policy explains what the app collects and why. We keep it short and plain.
What Sabir does with your speech and text
To translate for you, Sabir sends the words you speak or type, and the audio you record, to our processing service and trusted speech providers. They convert speech to text, translate it, and generate the spoken translation. The results are returned to your device and shown to you.
- We use this data only to provide the translation you asked for.
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your conversations for advertising or to build a profile of you.
- Sabir has no login or account, so your translations are not tied to your name or identity.
What is stored
- On your device: your conversation history and saved favorite phrases are stored locally on your phone. You can delete them at any time in the app or by deleting the app.
- On our servers: translation requests are processed and not retained for advertising. Speech providers may process audio transiently to perform recognition and voice synthesis under their own privacy terms.
Permissions
- Microphone: to hear what you say so it can be translated.
- Speech recognition: to turn your speech into text on device or through our service.
- Camera: used only if you choose camera translation, to read text you point at.
We ask for each permission only when you use the related feature, and you can turn them off in iOS Settings at any time.
Third parties
Sabir relies on third-party speech and translation services to function, for example cloud speech recognition and voice synthesis. These providers process your audio or text only to return a result to Sabir, under their own privacy and security terms.
Children
Sabir is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the new version here.
